“Healing into Wholeness through Courage and Compassion”
Angela Farmer

This interview is over.
Please get your Moon Pass
to access the recording & transcript.

Compassion is the seed of courage that is needed to heal into wholeness. In order to fully embody who we really are, we must find the courage to be vulnerable and go within, looking at all the parts of ourselves, even those that are initially hidden from us. When we treat ourselves with complete compassion, we support those wounded parts and in turn, they can begin to fully heal. In this session, Angela openly discusses how she healed her own inner wounds and how you can too.

Session Host: Laura Cornell

Angela Farmer was born in London in 1938, and found yoga at 28. She became one of the first Iyengar teachers in London. A few months later, she met Mr. Iyengar and sold everything she owned to go study with him in India. She studied and taught under him for 10 years and then was blessed with a revelation at a temple in Orissa that sent her in search of the Divine Feminine in yoga, and in herself, which has been her path ever since. She teaches both alone and with her partner and husband Victor van Kooten, and she leads retreats for women to help them discover their own yoga.

Kamini Desai, PhD

This interview is over.
Please get your Moon Pass

Most of us spend our lives fixing what we think is broken—our past, our body, our personality, other people. We spend our lives looking at other people and deciding how we should look or could look. We are round-bodied and wish we were lean-bodied; we have lean-bodies and wish we were bustier; we are bustier and wish we were less so. We spend our time managing the places with too much hair and fretting over the places with too little hair. We worry about our sexual performance and if we measure up. We fuss about the right things to wear in order to cover up our body and make it look its best. We spend our lives dressing it up, parading it around, loving it, hating it, comparing it and fixing it. But we never ask ourselves one simple question, “What is this body here for?” “What purpose does it serve?”

Session Host: Laura Cornell

Kamini Desai, PhD, is the Education Director of the Amrit Yoga Institute. Over the past 25 years Kamini, author of Life Lessons, Love Lessons, has created an exciting and unique body of teachings incorporating western psychology and eastern philosophy. Considered an expert in the science of yoga nidra, yoga therapy, relaxation, and artful living, her practical and accessible teaching style has been welcomed throughout the United States and in over 10 countries around the world. In 2012 she was awarded the title Yogeshwari (woman of yogic mastery) for her keen ability to bring ancient illumination to the genuine challenges of the human experience.

Discover how Durga, Goddess of Strength, Courage, and Justice (in the Shakta Tantra tradition of India and Nepal), can help remove fear and alleviate suffering, as well as guide us from dark places into the light in our modern, daily lives. In ancient myths, Durga destroys the demons that are destroying the equilibrium of the world. It is only the fierce compassion of the Divine Mother who can end the violence. In this session, we will learn how to transform our inner demons, which consist of afflicted emotions and negative thought patterns that limit and block us from expressing our authentic selves. We will then move through negative feelings into our heart center and an empowered state of being.

Christina Sell

Many of us come to the path of yoga looking for inner peace, self-acceptance and a more loving relationship with ourselves. While yoga practice offers a viable way to access these refined aspects of being, it also shines a light on those qualities that stand in the way of our love. To find trust we must often navigate the pain of betrayal, to learn compassion we must suffer, and to learn to love means that we will face the pockets of hatred and anger that live within. The good news is that the difficulties we face on the journey pave the way for our experiences to become wisdom and for our troubles to become our greatest offerings.

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Christina Sell has been practicing asana since 1991 and teaching since 1998. Known for her passion, clarity and creativity, Christina’s teaching style is a dynamic and challenging blend of inspiration, humor and hard work. “The Fine Art of Being Yourself”
Jana Long

This interview is over.
Please get your Moon Pass
to access the recording & transcript.

In life, the most profound question we answer is, “Who am I?” and the most profound journey we take is becoming our true selves. The fine art of being ourselves begins with the processes of contemplation (dharana) and meditation (dhyana) to elevate awareness of true Self or Nature and to engage the witness of the “I” self or ego. The ultimate goal of yoga is to yoke aspects of “Self” to liberate ourselves from suffering. Liberation comes with being ourselves at all times. Sound like mumbo jumbo? In this session, Jana will demystify the terms “Self” and “self.” She’ll discuss the major way we limit Self and offer a simple daily practice for embracing and nurturing your “Self” and “your “self.”

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Jana Long is also known as Gyanamati, meaning “wise mother.” It is the spiritual name given to her by her guru, Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati, in the Satyananda yoga tradition of which she is an initiate. Jana is an integrative wellness practitioner, seasoned yoga teacher, meditation facilitator and spiritual life coach. Her vast background includes yoga studies in West Africa, tantra and ajapa meditation studies in India, and certification in Integrative Yoga Therapy, Kripalu yoga, and the Wise Earth tradition of Ayurvedic self-care. She is currently the director of Power of One Yoga Center in Baltimore, MD. Jana also manages a small, client-based yoga practice, teaches courses in the therapeutic application of yoga for seniors at a local community college, and leads classes in yoga and meditation for cancer management at a community support center.

How do you hear and follow the calling of the heart, the quiet inner voice that is always leading us to the truth of our inner being? In her distinctly feminine interpretation of the Yoga Sutras, Nischala guides us into the subtle art of living the heart’s path. We will discuss how she followed her heart calling into the monastic life ~ and after 20+ years, how her courage to follow her heart led her to leave. “Coming Back to Wholeness: A Process of Subtraction”
Nikki Myers

This interview is over.
Please get your Moon Pass
to access the recording & transcript.

Look into the eyes of an infant and you can’t help but see the incredible open-hearted wholeness that is our birthright. And then, life experiences with family and society cause us to develop strategies (i.e. rescuing, people-pleasing, addiction, perfectionism) to protect our heart. In that process, vital parts of our original nature become lost or repressed and we start to identify who we are as the strategies we’ve created. We begin to believe that if we can just add the right person, job or knowledge we will again be whole and complete. In fact, coming back to wholeness is much more a process of subtraction than addition. Like the story of how Michelangelo sculpted David by removing all that was not David from the block of stone, coming back to wholeness is simply a matter of shedding all that is not us.

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Nikki Myers, MBA, is a Yoga Therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and Certified Addictions Recovery Specialist. Born from her personal struggle with addiction, Nikki founded Y12SR, The Yoga of 12-Step Recovery. Based in the theme “issues live in the tissues,” Y12SR is a relapse-prevention program that weaves the art and science of yoga with the practical tools of 12-step programs. Y12SR meetings are now available all over the United States and the curriculum is rapidly becoming a feature of addiction recovery treatment centers. She is honored to be a co-founder of the annual “Yoga, Meditation and Recovery” Conferences at Esalen Institute and Kripalu Center.

Learn how transformation as a way of life allows us to be our authentic selves at any given time. Change is the only constant after all, but can work in positive and empowering ways as a pathway of personal evolution. Given that we live in a patriarchal society, challenging authority and questioning the “way things are” allows us to remove the layers of social conditioning. This powerful tool is the first step in our healing and leads us to reveal our true selves.

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Vicki Noble is an artist, healer, independent research scholar, and a foremother of the Goddess movement in the U.S. With Karen Vogel, she co-created the Motherpeace tarot cards, and she is author of eight books, including Shakti Woman: Feeling Our Fire, Healing Our World, and The Double Goddess: Women Sharing Power. Vicki has founded and directed a school for women healers in the Bay Area, has led women on sacred Goddess pilgrimages around the world, and has traveled and taught internationally. She is a professional astrologer and teaches private tutorials at home in Santa Cruz, California, adapting Tibetan Buddhist Dakini practices for her mostly non-Buddhist students. For the last 10 years, she has spent part of each year transmitting these teachings to groups of women all over Italy.

“Your Strengths Point to Your Dharma”
Joan Dwyer

This interview is over.

What would it be like if we all could confidently stand tall in our strengths, know our power, and live our dharma out loud? Too many of our talents are unappreciated, unused, even unknown! The result is a sense of disconnect in our daily lives and disconnect from our highest personal vision. What are your strengths? Where are they needed? Do you have the tools, courage, and support to employ them? These are grand questions to sit in inquiry with this New Year.

Session Host: Laura Cornell

Joan Dwyer, RYT, is a master teacher, business consultant, and the creator/owner of three yoga centers in Rhode Island. “Life Wants Us”
Camille Maurine

“Life wants us. It wants all that we are. It is not arrogant to claim your own authority ~ it is deeply responsible. Authority and authenticity come from the same root that means ‘creator.’ Like the artist at the fringe of society or the shaman who dances at its outskirts, you may be one who receives a healing vision or speaks a truth that is desperately needed for the tribe.” ~ Meditation Secrets for Women, Camille Maurine

Living authentically is a mythic adventure. On our quest for the elixir of wholeness, we meet many obstacles, ogres, and allies ~ inevitable challenges and gifts of transformation. In our session, Camille shares tips from her own life expedition. Camille has created a handy acronym for us as a helpful guide on this brave journey. Can you guess what it is? That’s right – L.I.F.E!

Session Host: Laura Cornell

Camille Maurine is an internationally-renowned meditation and movement mentor, with a keen passion for women’s spiritual empowerment and embodiment. She is the founder of Moving Theater, a creative process fusing meditation, dance, and soulful expression. Camille gives a global online training based on her groundbreaking book, Meditation Secrets for Women: Discovering Your Passion, Pleasure, and Inner Peace, written with her husband, Dr. Lorin Roche. She adores giving performances embodying The Radiance Sutras, Lorin’s sensuous translation of an ancient yoga text. Sharing her journey of 4 decades of teaching and 33 years of intimate relationship, Camille invites us into the fullness of being alive.

“The Body Alive: The Magic of Being Yourself”
Sandra Robinson

This interview is over.
Please get your Moon Pass

In order to heal emotional pain with yoga, it’s vital to discover where it resides in the body, bringing to it both breath and awareness. Being completely yourself and embodied dissolves the feeling of not being good enough. When we learn to put down our armor, become vulnerable and connect to ourselves and our environment authentically, change naturally occurs. By letting go into who we are and by trusting our intuition and the magic we carry inside, our relationships are transformed ~ and open and honest relationships heal us all.

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Sandra Robinson is a level 5 certified Forrest Yoga teacher and a Forrest Yoga guardian, registered as a Senior Teacher with the UK Yoga Alliance. She has been assisting Ana Forrest from Berlin to Cape Town since 2009. She thrives on teaching workshops, retreats and continuing education for yoga teachers where space is created for students to fully immerse themselves, have room to simply be and to connect to their spirit. She also works in-depth and in small groups with Forrest Yoga teachers with the aim to build community, to help them to be the best they can be and to teach them to hold space for themselves and their students in a compassionate way. She is currently training at the Cambridge Body Psychotherapy Centre and offers long-term body psychotherapy and biodynamic massage.

Rebecca Snowball

Intuitively, we all “know” who we are, for real. But sometimes we get confused because of the erroneous messages we’ve been taught about ourselves from a young age. Becoming authentic is a process of forgetting and remembering. Rebecca will show us how we can use our chakra system of energy to release false beliefs about ourselves and open our energy to let our authenticity naturally flow.

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Rebecca Snowball is a certified Vinyasa yoga teacher. She received her first teaching certificate from Ganga White and Tracy Rich of the White Lotus Yoga Foundation and is highly trained in Anusara Yoga. She opened her business Yoga Soul in the year 2000, and in 2012 took her business online with the Vibrant Yoga Entrepreneur Telesummit. She held several telesummits over a 2-year period to help yoga teachers create thriving yoga businesses. In 2014-2015, Rebecca became a lead business coach for Sage Lavine, Inc, while continuing to teach yoga. She is passionate about teaching women how to tap into their vibrancy by opening to the truth of who they really are, with yoga.

“The Life Changing Practice of
Softening into Your Authentic Self”
Jillian Pransky

Be strong! You can do anything you want ~ and better!” These messages of encouragement from parents, media, and peers are often well-intended and can certainly empower us. But for many of us, they fire up a journey of constant goal-setting, achievement, and success-seeking. Not only does this lead to burn out, but can also cause us to ‘overpower’ our selves: to cover up our softer voice and deeper longings, feminine wisdom and our authentic self. Learning to relax can open us up to hear the deep wisdom in our hearts and honor the reliable guidance that we find there. It takes tremendous courage to relax, soften, and stay open ~ a vulnerable state where so much more joy unfolds than we ever dreamed possible.

Session Host: Jane Meinz

Jillian Pransky, E-RYT 500, is an international presenter and the director of Restorative Therapeutic Yoga teacher training for YogaWorks. Her Calm Body, Clear Mind DVD and Relaxmore CD have garnered excellent reviews from Dr. Mehmet Oz, Yoga Journal, and many others. Jillian is a featured yoga expert for Prevention Magazine. A student of Pema Chödrön’s since 1998, Jillian infuses her yoga classes with mindfulness practices, compassion, and ease. Her seamless style of working simultaneously with the body, mind, and spirit, while attuning with nature and the environment, creates inspiring classes and an integrative healing experience.

“Unleashing the Authentic Self as your Secret Weapon in
Growing a Sacred Business”
Laura Cornell

Many women worry that in order to truly thrive in business they may have to be inauthentic, to be someone they’re not. Yuck! No wonder the concept of “business” is so often distasteful to studio owners, yoga teachers, and other holistic health professionals. In this inspiring and detailed interview, you’ll learn a completely new model of sacred business, where your genuine, unvarnished self is your best friend (and yes, “secret weapon”) in filling your classes, workshops and private sessions, earning a healthy income, and fulfilling your life purpose. Learn 4 keys to concrete action ~ all based in authenticity ~ to truly succeed on all levels.

Guest Host: Christa Rypins

What people are saying about
the
Divine Feminine Yoga Telesummit

“Laura, thank you for the Divine Feminine Yoga Telesummit. I feel its healing energy helping me further my yoga practice as well as my issues around finances. In your story as well as all the speakers, I am getting strong messages guiding my next steps. I am most grateful for your holding the space for all of us who are trying to serve our higher purpose as well as the communities around us. Much love and many blessings to you and your work. What a strong force you are!”

~ Sabrina deBeatrice, Oxford, UK

“Goddess bless you for bringing tears to my eyes and solace to my aching feminine soul. Yoga has been my touchstone for 25 years now, but your telesummit showed me the piece that has been missing. Now I have validation and strength to really teach my truth. The words of so many wise women in such a condensed time has woken me up. I want to be heard, to be successful, to earn good money…. As the goddess is, so am I herself!”

~ Kate Bendell, New Zealand

“Thank you for coordinating the Divine Feminine Yoga Telesummit. The wisdom offered and shared through the telesummit is exceptional. And thank you for making available not only the audio but the transcripts as well. Saves time on taking notes and helps focus more on listening. Very nice!”

~ Sue Julian, Pinch, WV

“I am listening to all of the sessions. As I listen to them again and again, I discover new things from each recording. Thanks for putting this together!”

~ Jill, Adelaide, Australia

“I was thrilled with the Telesummit. I felt moved to see these approaches come together with deep honoring of the Divine Feminine. It gave me the clear understanding and sharing of the Goddess in what seems to be a masculine Yoga in spite of most classes being composed of women. Beautiful. Blessings!”

~ Darla Graves Palmer, Tucson, AZ

“This telesummit has come AT THE MOST PERFECT TIME imaginable. Along with difficult situations in my life, here comes grace and love and a hand to hold us and keep us steady. Thank you for the incredible thoughts and attitude adjustments.”

~ Kashi May-Bennett, Sydney, Australia

“THANK YOU for giving me and so many others access to such wonderful talks and teachers. I am Argentinian so many things I am really interested in happen very far away from home. Having this opportunity to listen to great teachers is something I value A LOT. Again, thank you very much.”

~ Alina Sansevich, Balcarce, Buenos Aires, Argentina

“I feel very grateful to you and all the Yoginis on the telesummit. It was a week full of revelations to me. Something has shifted already in my practice. I am allowing myself to really listen to my body and follow its subtle voice instead of doing what I think I should do. It was such a relief to hear that we as women need time to unplug, to rest. I don’t need to feel guilty about it anymore.”

~ Evelyn Kaeser, Selat, Indonesia

“First, I would like to thank you sooooo much for providing this forum for me and all the other yoginis, and free of charge too. I so enjoyed the fact that I was able to participate from home. Thank you so much again, for everything.”

~ Lakshmi Annavajhala, Boxborough, MA
